HEX: Shards of Fate is an MMORPG based on collectable cards where players will find the positive elements of multiplayer games (a community of online players, elements of role-play) combined with card gameplay in the style of Magic: The Gathering.
In HEX: Shards of Fate there are so far more than 350 different cards that players can collect and use during battles, with more added with each update. The players can create their own decks, which need 60 cards from five different types: resources, troops, artifacts, constant, and quick action.
The combat system in HEX: Shards of Fate is somewhere between Magic: The Gathering and HearthStone. Your aim is to reduce your opponent's life points to zero. (They start off with 20.) That said, playing each card costs resources, so it's smartest to play just one with the biggest impact on each turn.
In HEX: Shards of Fate there are different types of resources (very similar to MtG), so you'll have limited options of creatures, artifacts, and spells that you can carry in your deck.
HEX: Shards of Fate is a good collectible card game that has a fun and solid combat system and even offers some interesting MMORPG elements. Besides that, it's possible to challenge other players online or play against the computer.
